In today’s program Dr. Reminga, from Northern Foot Care Center, continues to answer listener’s questions in Part 2 of Ask The Doctor. Last week started this series and today Dr. Reminga continues along the same lines with some unique and interesting questions and concerns that listener’s have about their feet.

The first question from a listener is… I’m a 54 year old woman and I’ve never had swollen feet in my life but just recently my feet started swelling. I’m a little concerned. Swollen ankle and swollen feet are fairly common and usually not cause for concern particularly if you’ve been standing or walking more than usual. But feet and ankles that stay swollen or are accompanied by other symptoms could signal a more serious health concern. Dr. Reminga discusses possible causes of this listener’s concern such as… ankle sprain, systemic issues, venous insufficiency, infection, blood clots, heart, liver, or kidney disease, and hypothyroid or low thyroid for example. Dr. Reminga even answers a question about nail polish and the harm it can cause to your toenails.

This is just a sampling of the questions Dr. Reminga addresses in part 2 of Ask The Doctor. When listening to today’s program, you may find answers to a question you have about your feet.
