In today’s program, Dr. Daniel Reminga from Northern Foot Care Center answers the question… Why Do I Have Arch Pain? When we're on our feet, our arches are the primary structures, of our bodies, that absorb and return force. When this support structure is altered, pain and injury may result. There are many causes of arch pain. Direct force trauma, ligament sprains, muscle strains, poor biomechanical alignment, stress fractures, overuse, inflammatory arthritis, or, the tightness or lack of tightness of the joints in the foot may all cause pain in the arch.

Dr. Reminga talks about the causes of arch pain such as… injury to the plantar fascia resulting in plantar fasciitis, sprains to the arch, bruising, and stress fractures. Another cause of arch pain that he discusses is the genetic component which can often be overlooked. At the end of the show, Dr. Reminga, has an interesting test for listeners called The Wet Foot Test. Learn about your arches as Dr. Reminga answers the question... Why Do I Have Arch Pain?
