In today’s program Dr. Reminga, from Northern Foot Care Center, our feet as the foundation of our body. From stability, to balance, to alignment, to mobility, your body relies on your feet. Similarly, our feet are like the foundation of a house. Overtime, rain, snow, and all the elements of nature bit by bit erodes the ground surrounding the house. Eventually, the foundation develops cracks, and the house starts to shift, causing problems with the house’s structure… such as cracks in the walls and ceiling, and slanting floors.

Problems with your feet, which are the body’s foundation, can affect your entire body, from your legs to your back, your neck, and even your shoulders and head. The entire body is connected, which is why one foot problem can easily affect a seemingly unrelated part of the body. Your feet have a big influence on you as A WHOLE. When one foot problem is present, there can be a negative impact on the knees, hips, pelvis, spine, neck, all the way to the head. A foot imbalance can result in a chain reaction of... improper alignment and instability throughout the ENTIRE body.

For example, the pain someone feels in their neck could be caused by a misalignment in their spine due to an imbalanced biomechanical structure in their feet. A chain reaction occurs due to a faulty foundation. Once the feet are correctly stabilized and balanced properly an overall improvement of body performance can result with reduced pain all the way up to the neck and head as a result of correcting the foundation.
